- I was suprised when i seen how much diapears an average baby uses, it takes 715lbs. of oil to make a diapear, 4 1/2 trees and it will take a total of 500 years to degrade the diapears and for those who use reusable diapears they use 22,455 water in years.
- Well the law states that matter is neither created nor destroyed, but rather transefered. In conservation, this is a very important concept. When an animal dies, much of its fat and muscle becomes nutrition for the predator.
- What is left behind becomes food for microbes and fungi. Eventually nothing will remain of the dead animal and all of its matter will be in use somewhere else, scattered among the environment.
- There is a little confusion over "renewable resource" and "renewable source of energy". All renewable sources of energy are also renewable resources. But some renewable resources, like water, are NOT sources of energy.
- The bankruptcy of General Motors was one of the largest in U.S. history. Now, one year later, the vast majority of the roughly 200 properties - many of which are contaminated – which were spun off from GM still sit in limbo.
- The most rapid growth in energy demand from 2007 to 2035 occurs in nations outside the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development1 (non-OECD nations).
- The starting point of the ECO–currency(*) project is the hypothesis that an important factor in the ongoing environmental crisis is the disconnect between the economical ecology and the environmental ecology.
